Work Harder for More Tax
That's the message from the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which finds that many countries around the world - particularly in Asia - need to work much harder to raise tax revenues.
Their measure of 'tax effort' - the ratio of actual tax revenues to estimated potential tax revenues - shows that Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and China need to work much harder to raise tax.
